Not improved enough over previous versons to make it worth the cost, January 19, 2013 By This review is from: Acrobat Professional XI Windows [Download] (Software Download) I have been using Adobe Acrobat 9 for a few years now and really like it. It works well, but certainly leaves room for improvement. I tried Acrobat 11 to see if it is any better than 9 (or 10), and I'm sad to report that it is barely better.
If you are new to Acrobat, then this is a great deal. If you have Acrobat 9 or 10 this upgrade is not worth the money, unless one of the few new features is something that you will use frequently. These product releases that do nothing more than rearranging the buttons and menus are really getting annoying. If they improved the functionality and performance of the core features, I'd be happy to give them my money for it. Charging me to have to learn where everything is again and calling it an update does not provide me much value.

I understand Adobe better than I do Kindle formatting. I have already been using the trial version and have not yet run into an significant problems in using it, even though I'm an old fart living in a nursing home.
Right now I am working on making a PDF file of the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services Application for Benefits for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities capable of filling in on a computer for the Social Worker in the nursing home where I live. Most of the residents here are one both Medicare and Medicaid as their personal policies had run out. It has 9 pages with 30-40 form entries per page, though most are Yes/No check boxes. I have completed the boxes and am now just checking for any errors.

Its what I needed, November 20, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Acrobat Professional XI Windows [Download] (Software Download) I had some trouble with the download and ended up getting a copy from the Adobe site and using the activation code I bought from Amazon. The installation was easy but the configuration of the new format was not. Simple things like adding a window zoom to the ribbon was not very intuitive and took some time. I does apear to be more stable and fast (or is this the new computer?)
Overall it is still the standard even though its tough to swallow the price.
