Engaging with great graphics and storyline, July 2, 2012 By This review is from: LA Noire - Complete Edition [Online Game Code] (Software Download) Be a cop in Hollywood in the post-war era: circa 1947. Patrol, Traffic, Arson and Homicide, as you move through the ranks solving cases. You search for clues at crime scenes, interacting with other cops and interviewing suspects and witnesses. You never know who you can trust (cops, witnesses or supposed victims of the crimes...), but over time you gain experience and wisdom.
Figuring out whether or not you're being lied to gets tougher as you move through the game. You start out as a Rookie and work your way up to Detective, but it's not easy. There are plot twists and brutal crimes to solve and interrogations can do you in, but it's the sort of fun you just can't get enough of once you start.
This is a great game that should appeal to a lot of players. Engaging game play that's also visually appealing. Accurate neighborhood recreations, and the facial renderings are particularly good. Time spent on refining this game is evident.

Like many other rockstar games, this game is a total win. The environment matches the time (1940') and l.a looks gorgeous (the map is incredibly big as well) the investigations and gathering the clues are fun and intuitive, and the whole thing makes you really think like a badass detective... It's flawlessly fun! Graphics pretty good, and especially the faces expressions, which are absolutely real. Shooting mechanics reminds me a bit of rockstar's other great game, red dead redemption, but it's sharp and fun sometimes even more. (Though the game is not focused on shooting and fighting, like RDR)
I highly recommend the game for any rockstar fans, and especially for those who got sick from all the boring garbage out there, and looking for something new and challenging.
The game runs smoothly on my laptop (windows 7 64bit) though you'll need steam account to download the game into. Have fun!
