4.0 out of 5 stars Giving Apple a Run For Their Money, November 3, 2012
By
I have owned the iPad 1st and 3rd generation as well as an Asus Transformer and was blown away by how much I preferred the Surface. My desktop runs Windows 8 and I own an Xbox which means that this tablet pairs with my computer for work and my xbox for gaming/entertainment which was the perfect fit.

What I love:
-Design is sublime
-Kickstand (if my iPad had this, it would have saved me $50+ on cases)
-Windows 8 OS is incredible
-Pairs with my computer (with remote desktop)
-Pairs with my Xbox (xbox smart glass)
-Solid and Well Built
-The Keyboard/Smart Cover is a must have!! It increases your uses for this tablet 10 fold!
-Comes with MS Office (The screen size makes it perfect for excel)
-Micro SD Card Port (what I thought my iPad lacked)
-USB and Video Port
-Multitasking takes some getting used to but it is incredible

What I don't Like:
-Uncomfortable to hold with one hand
-Some Applications still... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great., December 3, 2012
This review is from: Microsoft Surface (64GB with Black Touch Cover) (Personal Computers)
This is by far the best tablet to hit the market. It makes an Ipad look very dated and limp in comparision. The touch cover/keyboard attaches/de-taches easily and solidly works very well, for me doing much of my typing I prefer the traditional keyboard cover. It attaches/de taches and acts as a secure cover the same as the touch cover, it just has deeper keys liek a traditional keyboard. You can transfer files, usb drives and whatever else you want to do unlike IPAD which handcuffs you to itunes. Windows 8 runs great, fast and efficiently on this deivce. The kickstand converts your surface into a comfortable movie watching station or with the touch cover keyboard and fully functioning, fully capable laptop with all the trimmings. Great device, well built, durable and very well thought out. This device does everything Ipad can and eons more that Ipad and most other tablets cannot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice, December 2, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Windows 8 is a giant leap forward compared to Vista, which is a big blot on Microsoft. Keyboard works great and the clicks help. The screen is very good. I could do without that stupid help voice and any number of the cute but useless features. Why can't Microsoft just use simple terms like E-mail, Address Book, etc.
